Green Heritage at the Fair of Knowledge and Taste
27 November 2025In November 2025, the Institute of Archaeology organised a Green Heritage co-design pilot workshops at the Viminacium Archaeological Park, testing an immersive educational model that integrates heritage, sustainability, traditional knowledge, and digital innovation.
Thirteen-year-old students participated in an eight-hour programme combining several different workshops such as: interactive site tour, Roman cuisine workshop, traditional crafts (wool felting, clay modelling, calligraphy),and an interactive presentation on digital heritage tools. The pilot, implemented with Primary School “Kralj Petar I” from Belgrade, gathered structured feedback to refine the Green Heritage Pedagogical Framework and confirmed the value of participatory, site-based learning for future interdisciplinary programmes.
