The Green in Heritage project officially kicked off with a two-day partners meeting held in Belgrade on January 22-23, 2025. The meeting was hosted by the Institute of Archaeology as the coordinator of the project, with all project partner teams attending to establish the framework for successful collaboration.
On the first day, the discussions focused on project coordination and planning. Key sessions included team formation, the presentation of the management plan and risk management strategy, as well as introductory presentations on activities within work packages WP3, WP4, and WP5. Special attention was given to connecting environmental education with cultural heritage, planning trainings and international study visits, and engaging stakeholders in the work of local labs at archaeological parks. The day concluded with a Q&A session and the adoption of conclusions for the first day.
On the second day, partners focused on establishing the Community of Practice (WP6), visual identity, and the communication and dissemination strategy led by the Institute of Archaeology and Politehnika. The processes of monitoring and budgeting were also discussed, followed by a guided tour of the St. Sava Temple.
The meeting laid a strong foundation for interdisciplinary collaboration and innovations in cultural heritage education across Europe.
