Study Visit in Córdoba: Mediterranean Heritage Between History and Sustainability
8 September 2025From 22 to 24 August 2025, as part of the Green Heritage project, a series of participatory activities successfully combined Roman heritage, hands-on learning, and contemporary digital tools within the framework of the Roman Games in Ptuj. Through interactive Minecraft-based workshops and archaeological activities, young participants were introduced to the importance of cultural heritage in shaping identity, understanding the shared past, and recognizing sustainable practices rooted in Roman tradition.
Set within the historic environment of Ptuj, the activities highlighted the close relationship between ecology and heritage, demonstrating that environmental responsibility and cultural heritage preservation are inherently interconnected. By integrating digital creativity with experiential learning, the initiative offered an engaging and educational approach to heritage interpretation for younger audiences.
